The new docu-series features real-life stories of individuals whose health has significantly improved from the use of cannabis and cannabinoid-infused products

DENVER – (Oct. 26, 2017) – Colorado-based Mary’s Medicinals (Mary’s) today announced the launch of its new ‘Mary’s Chimes’ YouTube channel featuring a docu-series about individuals who have treated severe medical ailments using cannabis and cannabinoid-infused products such as Mary’s Medicinals and Mary’s Nutritionals. The docu-series is being directed and scored by Grammy-nominated recording artist, filmmaker and activist John Forté.

“Mary’s wanted to find a way to honor its patients and their unique stories of appreciation, transformation and gratitude, and ‘Mary’s Chimes’ are testimony in motion,” said Forté. “Directing and scoring ‘Mary’s Chimes’ has been humbling, eye-opening and all together inspiring. There is a deliberate sense of purpose at Mary’s, from the technology they advance to their retrospective packaging designs. Team Mary’s is emboldened by their work and that sentiment is further reinforced by the positive feedback they’ve received over the years. ‘Mary’s Chimes’ reflect and resonate why helping others help themselves feels so wonderful.”

The first two patients who are featured in the short films are seventeen-year-old Coltyn Turner and nine-year-old Leah. Turner, who suffers from Crohn’s disease and Leah, who suffers from seizures, were not able to function as a result of their illnesses. In both cases, pharmaceutical medications did not relieve them of their debilitating symptoms. Turner and Leah, accompanied by their parents, tell their firsthand accounts of overcoming their difficult battles and the road to recovery through cannabis and CBD-infused products in each of their ‘Chimes.’

“We are honored to bring ‘Mary’s Chimes’ to the public with the support of the incredibly talented John Forté so everyone has the chance to hear inspiring and heartfelt patient testimonials directly from the patient and their loved ones,” said Lynn Honderd, CEO of Mary’s Medicinals and Mary’s Nutritionals. “The goal of this project is to create an educational resource and give a voice to the growing number of patients who have successfully utilized whole-plant remedies as an alternative to traditional medicine.”

More About Coltyn Turner

Coltyn Turner was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 2011. After three difficult years of treatment, Turner and his father relocated to Colorado to research an alternative to pharmaceuticals and the effects of cannabis in treating Crohn’s. Turner became the first registered medical marijuana pediatric patient for Crohn’s disease in the United States and he started taking cannabis oil in a vegan capsule four times per day. Seven months after moving to Colorado, Turner’s colonoscopy exams showed no active signs of Crohn’s disease, ulcers or inflammations and all biopsies came out clear.

“There’s not much more our family can say about the benefits of medicinal cannabis use besides it saves lives,” said Wendy, Turner’s mother. “Mary’s patches, Muscle Freeze, tincture and CBD capsules have brought our son much needed relief. We are currently collaborating with Mary’s on a new tincture formulation specifically for Coltyn and potentially to help the many people suffering from autoimmune disorders like Crohn’s.”

This week marks Turner’s third year being in remission of Crohn’s disease. Watch Coltyn’s Chime here: http://bit.ly/ColtynsChime

More About Leah

Leah was diagnosed in 2014 at six years old with Secondarily Generalized Tonic-Clonic seizures, and a 3mm mass in the front left side of her brain. After witnessing Leah’s frustrating experience with four different prescription medications and the depression, mood swings, nausea and migraines that followed, her mother and medical team switched Leah’s regimen exclusively to Mary’s Remedy Oil.

“Within a month, Leah was no longer on pharmaceuticalsonly Mary’s CBD-enriched Remedy Oil. The convulsions, absence seizures, depression, migraines, nausea and mood swings all slowly dissipated,” said Kayla, Leah’s mother. “The Leah that we all love so much, was making her way back to us. She learned how to ride her bike without training wheels and is loving life as a normal, healthy, beautiful, and spunky nine-year-old.”

In a recent MRI scan, Leah’s left frontal mass had tremendously shrunk, and her doctors have deemed it as non-cancerous and no longer a threat. Watch Leah’s Chime here: http://bit.ly/LeahsChime
